With our fleet of Case Quadtrac tracked scraper units, we have the capability of
undertaking large volume earthworks projects. PHD developed the methodology of using the Case Quadtrac/K-tec double scoop configurations and gained extensive experience at the Brisbane Airport Corporation New Parallel Runway
(BAC NPR) Project.

PHD were engaged by Jan De Nul during Phase 1 when their traditional excavator/moxy methodology was proving inefficient in the sand and from a safety perspective when their machines were continually bogging.
​
We have been engaged at the BAC NPR Project since then by other Principal
Contractors to conduct bulk sand earthworks as their preferred methodology.
Our Management, Leadership and Risk Management

Our management team have extensive experience in bulk civil earthworks and
large mining projects, and we pride ourselves on thinking outside the square and developing innovative solutions for our clients.

We have a comprehensive yet practical HSEQ management system which is audited against ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environment) and AS4801 (Safety). Our Management and Supervisory team undergo Safety Leadership training and our operators
are trained to full National Competency Standards for the relevant plant and
equipment they operate.

PHD employs a fully qualified trainer/assessor to develop company specific training and assessment tools and to manage the up-skilling of new and existing employees.
​
We pride ourselves on delivering the job on time, under budget and effi-
ciently with minimal fleet interaction and lower risk exposure due to the high
production capabilities of our fleet.

Plant Hire Direct operates from its head office based in Albion which is located in close proximity to the Brisbane Airport and Port of Brisbane.

Our workshop
and depot facilities are located in Virginia, Brisbane – 6km from the Brisbane Airport and 24km from the Brisbane Port.
​
Our plant and equipment supplied meet the highest safety standards based up on Operational Risk Assessments and come complete with Trimble GPS features.
​
Supporting our fleet of plant and equipment, we can also provide a float service to mobilise and demobilise to and from site. Plant Hire Direct employ qualified staff which include our very own experienced operators and factory trained technicians.
